ABOUT 2AF
Thanks for checking out 2AF (2A-Fulfillment). We are Neil (1972-present regular guy) and Tom (2007-2012 USMC/0311). We’re working hard to offer you brands and products you don’t normally see in one place together. These products have been assembled because we’ve regularly used or seen them used with a high degree of success. It doesn’t matter if you use these products for your job, competitively, or in training, we want what you get from us to perform, all the time. Meeting or exceeding your expectations. If you’re at a match or a class, we want people to approach you and ask where you got this or that product so they can come check us out too.
I (Neil) moved to Florida the end of 1999. I began attending training classes from the best qualified instructors I could find in the North Florida area. This was the time frame that I began to regularly attend EAG/Pat Rogers classes. Pat always started classes with a discussion about the importance of good gear. As a busy firearms instructor, he saw countless malfunctions from a wide variety of brands. He documented these malfunctions and saw a disproportionate number of them occurring with less expensive or “good for the money” type manufacturers. I did not realize it until after Pat passed away in 2016, but these gear discussions and his emphasis on quality equipment must have been what inspired the #nocheapcrap slogan and mantra we have adopted for ourselves and advocate to others.
Having shot and enjoyed IDPA in the late 90s I really wanted to do something like that with rifles, but nothing I could see existed. By early 2000, I had established the Florida Defensive Carbine Club to provide a shooting opportunity in between the classes I enjoyed so much. FDCC is a casual and loosely organized rifle/pistol match that has held events the last Sunday of every month since then. Around 2007 I began hosting classes from well known instructors. Bringing them to the area provided another opportunity for local gun owners to use their firearms in a way that went beyond your average range day. In 2016, FDCC expanded to start hosting quarterly SPR/DMR matches. These matches offered people the chance to shoot and move at distances greater than what we were able to previously offer. In 20+ years of matches, classes and shooting with family and friends, I have very, very rarely had any issue with any of the firearms I have used. I’ve witnessed countless problems that range from minor to catastrophic. I’ve seen people travel hundreds of miles to attend an expensive training class only to have their guns or gear fail early on, causing them to leave the class, miss the training, loose their time and investment, and ruin the experience. I didn’t want that to happen to me and we don’t want it to happen to you. Especially not with something you’ve received from us.
Tom has been in the firearms industry for the last seven years. Tom learned to shoot while in the Boy Scouts where he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout, and has continued ever since. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps. While in the Marine Corps he was an infantry rifleman (0311) and obtained the rank of Sergeant. He served from 2007 to 2012. Shortly after he entered the firearms Industry and found a love for helping people get into the shooting and firearm ownership.
There’s only one thing either of us love as much having good gear perform well for us when we shoot, and that’s seeing you love it just as much. If you do your part, better than average products will produce the type of reliable performance that will lead you to develop the same type of trust and pride of ownership you deserve. Please contact us with any questions or concerns you have. We care about what we send out the door and are here to help.
